FSLIGHT SYSTEM

Dynamic scanning
light-sheet microscopy

System-level hardware and software information for large-sample, 3D and multichannel imaging discussions.

PRODUCT POSITIONING

Begin with sample fit, not a single specification

Light-sheet imaging outcomes are shaped by sample size, clearing method, refractive index, objective, voxel size, channels, acquisition speed and processing workflow. FSLight configuration discussions start with the actual research task.

Configuration note

This page provides a system-level overview. Final delivery scope, sample compatibility and performance confirmation are defined by the selected configuration, technical agreement and project test.

TECHNICAL OVERVIEW

System capability at a glance

Key information is organised around imaging, optical and mechanical configuration, and data workflow for project-level discussions.

Imaging and sample scope

System capability depends on the sample, objective, imaging medium and final configuration.

Imaging modes
5D imaging (XYCZT) and up to four channels in the same focal plane.
Large-sample coverage
A single acquisition can reach 1 cm; approximately 15 acquisitions cover about 3 cm × 5 cm.
Dynamic scanning
Dynamic light-sheet scanning; whole-volume speed should be confirmed under matched sample and acquisition conditions.
Objective options
Air and multi-immersion objectives; refractive-index range and working distance vary by objective.

Optical and mechanical configuration

Final delivered scope is defined by the selected configuration and technical agreement.

Excitation and acquisition
Four laser lines with fibre coupling, dual-side illumination and scientific CMOS detection.
Positioning stage
Three-axis precision stage; travel, step size and repeatability depend on the configuration.
Camera specification
4.2 MP, 2304 × 2304 field and peak quantum efficiency >80% at 560 nm.
Light-sheet setup
Light-sheet thickness options around 2–4 μm; performance with a real sample requires project-specific confirmation.

Software and data workflow

Software functions, licences, compatible formats and processing speed depend on the current version and agreement.

Data formats
3D TIFF, TIFF and export to third-party software formats.
Stitching and processing
TB-scale automatic, coordinate and manual stitching; background removal, deconvolution and cropping.
3D visualisation
Pseudocolour display, 3D animation rendering and video output.
Brain atlas
Mouse Allen Brain Atlas registration and basic region analysis.

PROJECT DISCUSSION

What to prepare for an inquiry

  • Sample type, dimensions, quantity and storage conditions
  • Fluorescent labels, channels and target spatial scale
  • Clearing method, imaging medium and refractive-index range
  • Required acquisition speed, data format and analysis output

Performance evidence to align

For a performance comparison, we recommend agreeing on a matched sample and label, then reviewing raw Z-stacks, centre/edge/depth PSF, SNR, full acquisition time and processing time.
